Slow, Yet In A Rush

Ramadan almost being almost over only means that: 1. we resume school after 3 weeks off for the Ramadan holidays 2. finals are around the corner  and 3. everyone is back to sleeping at NIGHT

It's amazing how time has flew by this year. I remember at the beginning of the year looking towards the year and saying to myself that it's going to be a long year and a half. It was a looooong year but, I've been so consumed with the material I had to study that I wasn't keeping track of time.

My summer has been taken up by studies and attending bedside. Long hours of standing around a patient, listening to the case presentation while the professor scolded the history taker with questions that we all did not know the answer to. I can't wait for it to be over yet I don't want exams. Exams generally make me want to pull my hair out, however, these being my final finals before I become an intern MD makes me want to go nap and think about happy times when the most difficult decision was picking what color to paint a snowman with.

For the last 3 weeks, Libya and the rest of the Islamic world have been celebrating Ramadan. The Islamic month of fasting ...and doing other odd things I never grew up doing in the western world. example: sleeping throughout the day and awakening during the night! It's amazing how you can drive down the roads in Tripoli and feel as if it's only 7pm. Guys, enough...I want to go back to the old days...where I was the only person up at 3am studying!

I miss mom, dad, home, and everything related to those....almost a year since I've visited
